meteocontrol is a global-oriented enterprise providing products and services in the energy and weather sectors for more than 30 years. Apart from the Bavarian head office in Augsburg, meteocontrol has also at its command branch offices located in Bremerhaven, Moers and in Madrid, Spain.

meteocontrol's activities are divided in differnt areas. The first one, Solar Energy, comprises the furnishing of yield reports for sound investments, site and constructions supervision as well as operation monitoring and yield analysis of PV systems. meteocontrol is market leader in the field of Internet-based remote monitoring supervising a total power of more than 1 GWp.

The second area Energy Efficiency provides energy data analyses and professional energy management to cut costs, improve quality and to throw light on energy consumption of enterprises and local authorities.

Another business segment contains meteorological data. Long-standing Meteosat time series as well as the cooperation with scientists of the University of Oldenburg allow us to offer solar irradiance data of high quality, with high temporal resolution and covering a large area. A fully developed forecast system which combines famous global forecast models with the simulation of all supervised pv-plants makes precise forecasts of the expected yield possible.
